Edgard is a Prize Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Economics at Nuffield College. His research seeks to advance the understanding of individual political behavior in advanced democracies, using the lens of economic history. More specifically, his current projects investigate three key steps of this behavior: (i) the formation of political beliefs (through the study of climate change denial); (ii) the drivers of political engagement (such as small campaign contributions); and (iii) the dynamics of selection into politics (focusing on descriptive representation).
Edgard defended his PhD in 2023 at Sciences Po Paris. Between 2020 and 2023, He was a visiting fellow at Harvard University.
