Oxford DPhil candidates Niclas Griesshaber and Gavin Greif have won the NFDI4Memory research grant worth €65.000 for their research which seeks to use multimodal large language models to build and benchmark historical German datasets from archival image scans. The project is joint with Prof. Jochen Streb and Dr. Irene Schumm at the University of Mannheim.
